25 Days of Christmas: Day 9

Day 9: Gingerbread Boy & Girl small glass blocks - Glass block crafts have been extremely popular and look how cute these two are. It just takes a handful of products and a few steps to recreate these adorable gingerbread boy and girl glass blocks.



Supplies:
  • 2 - small glass blocks
  • vinyl gingerbread faces - Vinyl Expressions
  • Glossy Woodtone spray paint - Design Master
  • ribbon
  • hot glue
  • wire
Steps:
  1. Spray outside of glass block with Design Master, covering the entire surface. Let dry.
  2. Apply a vinyl face to each block along with vinyl bows (we position blocks so the opening on the bottom before applying vinyl).
  3. Wrap ribbon around outside of each glass block securing with hot glue.
  4. Make a bow for each block and hot glue into place.
You can find instructions on how to make a bow here. You just may want to make your loops and tails smaller.

It is as easy as that.

25 Days of Christmas: Day 8

Add ImageDay 8: Reindeer Ornament - Who doesn't love Rudolph? Any one from age 3 to 100 could easily make this ornament. A 4pk of glass squished ornaments are on in-store special right now for only $3.98. All other supplies are also available at Crafts Direct.

Supplies:

• glass squished ornament
• brown vinyl - Cricut
• reindeer punch - EK Success
• snow drops (optional)
• red & black half round crystals - SPC - for nose & eye
• 3”circle giga punch - Marvy
• Merrymint Wintergreen paper - American Crafts
• merry argyle paper - Doodlebug
• 3”circle giga punch - Marvy
• 9” of ribbon
• glossy accents

Directions:
1) Punch Reindeer from brown vinyl & apply (peel
& stick) to squished ornament (this will be the front).
2) If desired fill ornament 1/3 full of snow drops.
3) Punch out a 3” circle from desired paper.
4) On the backside of the ornament apply glossy
accents and place paper on top print side down.
5) Adhere the nose & eye with glossy accents.
6) Attach ribbon to hang ornament.

25 Days of Christmas: Day 7


Day 7: Families are Forever... - This shadowbox frame was made using "Making a Snowman" paper from Reminisce, along with fake snow, Jesse James buttons and a vinyl saying. This was so fun and easy to make. Remember you can pick up all the supplies for this project at Crafts Direct.

Supplies:

• 12x12 MCS shadowbox frame -white
• vinyl saying “Families Are Forever…”
by Vinyl Words
• Making A Snowman 12x12 paper
by Reminisce
• 8.5x11 Bazzill cardstock:
-Starmist – cut to 5.75”x4.25”
-Bazzill Red – cut to 6”x4.5”
• Double Sided Adhesive
• Gift of Love (Heart Buttons)
by Jesse James
• Chunky Snowflakes by Jesse James
• Glue Dots • Foam Dots • One 4x6 photo • Fake Snow

Directions:

1. Cut the photo down to 5.5”x4”.
2. Using double sided adhesive adhere photo to Starmist leaving a border
around all sides. Then using foam dots adhere Starmist on Bazzill Red
leaving a border on all sides.
3. Using double sided adhesive adhere matted photo about ½” to ¾” from right
edge of snowman paper centering it.
4. Apply 6 -7 chunky snowflakes to the snowman paper randomly, with Glue Dots.
5. Remove backing from shadowbox and pour in some fake snow toward bottom.
About an inch or two.
6. Place snowman paper in shadowbox face down and insert backing.
7. Cut the vinyl apart in between “Are Forever” and “Because Love”. Then cut
apart in between “Because Love” and “Never Melts”.
8. Following directions on package apply “Families Are Forever” vinyl piece onto
the glass of the shadowbox centered above matted photo.
9. Then apply the “ve” of “Love” on glass, below matted photo, 3/8” from frame
edge. Then apply a heart with Glue Dots in place of the “o” on the glass. Then
apply “Because L” to the left of the heart.
10.Then apply “Never Melts” vinyl piece one inch from bottom and 5/8” from right
side of frame edge.

25 Days of Christmas: Day 6

Day 6: Create your own gift bag - This is a perfect way to wrap that present which is truly a gift from the heart.

Supplies:

Buttons - Doodlebug
Foam Dots
White Gift Bag
Rubberstamps - See D's
Bo-Bunny Paper: Tis' the Season Fa La La
(large dots cut to 1.5"x8") 12TSL439
Salt (White) Dotted Swiss Cardstock - Bazzill
(cut snowflake using Accu-Cut machine)
Bazzill Cardstock choose one color:
Kachina, Grasshopper, or Maraschino
Extra Giga Circle Punch - Marvy Uchida
Ink pad Glue Dots Glue runner


Directions:

  1. Stamp images randomly on the bag.
  2. Adhere the Bo-Bunny paper(large dot print) to the center of the bag.
  3. Punch circle from one color of cardstock.
  4. Apply button to the snowflake with glue dot.
  5. Adhere snowflake to circle with foam dot.

25 Days of Christmas: Day 5

Day 5: Glitter Flower Trees - These trees are so beautiful and eye catching and sure to add a touch of glitz to any ones home. These trees are non-traditional Christmas colors and that is what I love about them. We have others colors that you could choose from to fit with your homes decor.




Supplies:
  • 3 different sizes of Styrofoam trees
  • Pins with white heads
  • Large Retro Flower Punch - EK Success
  • 3 different colors of glitter paper - American Crafts
    (you will need 4 sheets for large tree, 3 sheets for medium tree, and 2.5 sheets for small tree)
Instructions:
  1. Punch out flowers from desired colors of glitter paper. Punching out as many as you can get out of each sheet.
  2. Start pinning flowers on each tree. Filling in any gaps as you go. Flowers will have more dimension if you bend the petals of flowers up a little.
  3. Once all three trees are covered all you need to do is find the perfect place to display them in your home.

25 Days of Christmas: Day 4














Day 4: Coaster Sets -
Everybody could use a coaster set and when they are this cute who wouldn't want one. Crafts Direct carries all the supplies you would need to make these and the 5pc. coaster set is on special right for only $3.00.

Here is a listing of the basic supplies used for all of them:
  • 5 pc. coaster set
  • acrylic paint
  • asst. printed paper
  • stickers
  • rub-ons
  • paper punches
  • embellishments
  • Ultra Seal
  • felt or cork for back of coaster
  • Envirotex (optional)
If using envirotex you can follow these steps we used for the tile boards. For complete instructions just click on the coaster set you like.

Basic steps:
  1. Trace a coaster on 4 different papers and on felt, if using felt on back of coaster. Cut out.
  2. Paint the entire box inside and out. Also paint the coasters, both sides and edges. Let dry.
  3. Using Ultra Seal as glue adhere all papers to one side of the coaster let dry.
  4. Punch out desired shapes, apply embellishments or rub-ons onto the punched shapes and use Ultra seal to adhere to each coaster (best if applied toward the corners so glasses sit flat on coasters).
  5. Apply stickers to coasters if desired and any other embellishments.
  6. Seal all coasters using Ultra seal.
  7. Apply self adhesive cork dots to the back of coaster or attach felt squares using Ultra Seal.
  8. Decorate outside of box as desired.

25 Days of Christmas: Day 3

Day 3: Snowman Notepad - This is a cute and easy project, which works well for writing down your shopping list or wish list this Holiday Season.

Supplies:
• Mono Adhesive
• 1.25” circle punch (EK Success)
• 9.25”x2.75” Bright Stripe Paper
(My Mind’s Eye)
• Jolly Snowman paper (My Mind’s Eye)
• Surf’s Up Dotted Swiss paper (Bazzill)
• 1.5” scallop circle extra jumbo punch (Marvy)
• 2.5”x8” notepad



Directions:
  1. Score the stripe paper at 8 1/8” and 8 3/8”. Fold on scored lines.
  2. Apply mono adhesive to the front of note pad on binding. Adhere the flap to cover binding.
  3. Flip notepad over and apply mono adhesive to the back of notepad and cover with the remaining stripe paper.
  4. Punch scallop circle from Surf’s Up paper and adhere to the top front of notepad centering it.
  5. Punch snowman out using the 1.25” circle punch and adhere to center of scallop circle.
*Optional: glue magnet to back & hang on fridge.
